A crackdown on suspected drug dealing in Oxfordshire has resulted in multiple detentions, according to Thames Valley Police.
Six individuals were taken into custody during the operation on September 11.
Officers also confiscated three vehicles and executed a Section 135 warrant, which grants legal authority to search a property.
The action involved neighbourhood policing units deployed throughout Oxfordshire.
Those teams deployed automatic number plate recognition technology alongside portable surveillance equipment as part of efforts to disrupt illegal drug distribution.
Inspector Alex Shepherd from the South Oxfordshire Neighbourhood Policing Team commented on the operation, stating that the activity on Friday proved highly effective in achieving numerous positive results.
He added that the operation demonstrated the force’s dedication to addressing matters of concern to residents and preserving public trust.
Shepherd indicated that officers would persist in combatting criminal activity throughout Oxfordshire, with neighbourhood teams performing ongoing work to address criminal behaviour, respond to issues raised by communities, and sustain public confidence.
