A second fatality has been confirmed following a collision in Oxfordshire that occurred last week, with police describing the circumstances as deeply distressing.
Thames Valley Police issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the incident from September 8, confirming that a woman aged 74, who was transported to hospital after the crash, has subsequently passed away.
The woman occupied the passenger seat in a Peugeot vehicle involved in the collision.
The driver of the car, a 75-year-old man, was pronounced deceased last week.
Family members of both individuals have been notified and are receiving assistance from officers specialising in supporting those affected by sudden loss.
Philip Hanham, representing the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, expressed continued concern for those bereaved by the incident.
He stated that inquiries remain active and appealed for anyone possessing dashboard camera recordings from the vicinity at the time of the crash to make contact.

The collision took place around 10am and brought together three vehicles: a blue Scania flatbed truck, a black Peugeot 106, and a grey Honda HR-V.

The occupant of the Honda sustained superficial injuries but did not require hospital admission.
The driver of the Scania truck escaped injury entirely.
