Staff at Didcot Railway Centre recently hosted visitors from Belgium.
Gyula Fekete and Jan Van Frausum, representing the Train World museum in Brussels, toured the steam rail heritage facility near Didcot Parkway.
During their visit, the pair stood on the footplate of locomotive number 6023 King Edward II.
Frank Dumbleton, a volunteer at the centre and photographer, recorded the occasion with photographs.
The guests spent the majority of the day at the centre and wore vintage Belgian Railways guards’ caps.
Train World is situated in Schaerbeek within an art-nouveau station building alongside a modern museum complex.
The venue serves as the official museum of the Belgian National Railway Company, known as SNCB.
Its collection charts the history, current operations and future developments of Belgian Railways.
The museum offers interactive exhibits where visitors are permitted to handle almost all displays.
