The Big Feastival, an annual gathering hosted by Blur bassist Alex James at his rural property in Oxfordshire, has marked another year of operation with nostalgic imagery from the event’s early years.
The festival, which took place from Thursday, August 27 through Sunday, August 30, was hailed as an outstanding edition of the celebration.
Originally established in 2012 through collaboration with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, the gathering has developed into a prominent summer occasion combining musical entertainment, culinary experiences and family-friendly activities.
The inaugural edition of the event occurred in 2012, with photographs from that year showing attendees braving cooler evening temperatures as they arrived at the venue.
This iteration featured performances from Basement Jaxx, Rudimental, Bastille and The Streets among its headliners.
The accompanying visual collection draws upon archival material from the Oxford Mail to document the festival’s earliest manifestations during the 2010s decade, tracing the development of what has become a cherished fixture in the Oxfordshire events calendar.
