Thames Valley Police confirmed that a number of suspected offences were under examination in connection with an incident in Oxford.
Officers are continuing inquiries into a public order matter that occurred on Abingdon Road in Oxford on 24 March.
On that date, the Raise the Colours collective had been displaying Union Jacks and England flags along the route.
This action provoked strong opposition from local residents who objected to the group, while vehicle operators experienced delays caused by a van that obstructed one lane of traffic.
Police officials indicated that the inquiry covers incidents reported to the force during a two-month period.
A spokesperson stated that the force is examining multiple offences reported between late January and late March 2026 in the Oxfordshire area.
A man aged 45 from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, who was previously taken into custody in relation to these matters, is expected to respond to bail conditions on Sunday.
The individual, whose name is being withheld, continues to be on police bail until the conclusion of this week.
Since an arrest has taken place, court proceedings are now underway, and authorities are advising against reporting, commentary or circulation of details that might affect potential future legal action.
Earlier, the force indicated that where criminal offences are established, appropriate and measured responses would be taken against those responsible.
