Additional recruitment notices have been published for the forthcoming Gail’s Bakery branch at the Westgate Shopping Centre.
A representative from Westgate Oxford commented that several highly anticipated brands would be arriving at the centre soon, with further announcements expected to follow.
The bakery chain has officially announced on its website that a new location is on the way.
Positions available include those for a head barista, kitchen team member, part-time barista, team leader, barista and head baker.
The roles advertised for head barista and head baker both offer remuneration of £14.20, surpassing the Oxford Living wage as determined by Oxford City Council, which presently stands at £14.06.
Five existing sites throughout Oxfordshire already offer Gail’s selection of freshly made pastries, both savoury and sweet items, bread and coffee, with another venue soon to be added to this network.
The upscale bakery chain, which is undergoing rapid growth and operates more than 180 outlets nationwide, has identified the opportunity presented by a fresh location in Oxfordshire.
A Gail’s Bakery also launched at Banbury Gateway Retail Park during the earlier part of this month.
Ahead of the Banbury launch, Gail’s Operational Manager Bobby Holmes expressed enthusiasm about opening the doors, highlighting the freshly prepared sourdough and artisan loaves, rich pastries, handcrafted sandwiches, cakes and carefully made coffee, all produced fresh with attention to detail.
The vacancy listing for head baker at the new establishment states that the company seeks individuals with enthusiasm to become part of the Gail’s team and who are committed to mentoring and supporting the development of colleagues.
