M40 CLOSED: Emergency services respond to motorway incident

Southward traffic on the M40 in the Banbury vicinity was brought to a complete standstill during the morning hours today.

Road camera footage from the vicinity has been circulating online.

A Thames Valley Police representative has been approached for further information.

The road itself remained free of any physical obstacles, despite the significant delay to drivers.

The restriction on traffic has now been removed.

Thames Valley Police officers have stated they will not be offering any additional comment about the incident.
