Child sustains serious injuries in Oxford area collision

A young person has sustained serious injuries following a collision in an Oxford district.

Several emergency services responded to Dynham Place, a road situated near Girdlestone Road and The Slade in the Wood Farm part of Oxford, on Sunday afternoon, July 26.

Local residents who witnessed the incident described a significant presence of police vehicles and ambulances in the vicinity.

Officers have confirmed that the child, whose age and gender have not been disclosed, sustained what have been described as serious injuries.

The incident involved a white Mercedes A180 hatchback, with the young person having been on foot at the time.

A representative from Thames Valley Police stated that officers were notified of the serious road traffic collision at approximately 1.58pm on the day in question on Dynham Place. The victim, a young child, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and is currently receiving hospital treatment. No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
