Martin Brown and his team have been working flat out since launching their fresh outlet in Abingdon earlier this month.
The first day saw customers queuing around the block, and the pace has not slowed since.
For several years, the town has lacked somewhere selling traditionally-cut meat, and locals have embraced the new venture enthusiastically.
Mr Brown remarked that trade had been relentless, with the team constantly producing additional sausages to meet surging customer interest.
He noted that residents had clearly longed for a conventional butcher’s, having expressed a strong desire for such a business to return to the area.
A number of shoppers have abandoned the big-name supermarkets in favour of the new establishment, with one patron spending roughly £76 on steaks and other cuts this Saturday.
After the first trading weekend, Mr Brown shared an online message expressing gratitude to everyone who came along, acknowledging their patience as the team found their rhythm. He wrote that the extraordinary turnout and backing had left them overwhelmed.
He acknowledged that waiting times had exceeded what anyone would prefer, yet the warmth and goodwill shown by customers had been deeply appreciated.
The message stated that for the owners, this venture represents far more than merely a shop – it marks the fulfilment of a long-held ambition they hope will serve Abingdon for many years ahead, with a commitment to ongoing development and maintaining the highest standards of goods and service.
