Good afternoon, two lanes on the M40 heading south have reportedly been shut because of a medical situation. The incident is on the stretch crossing into Oxfordshire in the direction of High Wycombe.

Highways England report:

Location The M40 southbound between junctions J5 and J4 Reason Traffic build-up Status Currently Ongoing Return To Normal Normal driving conditions anticipated between 14:00 and 14:15 on 24 May 2026 Delay Travel times are currently extended by 10 minutes compared to predictions
