A speeding offence involving a commercial vehicle has resulted in penalties for the driver.
Ryan Lovatt was detected traveling in excess of the 60mph restriction applied to goods vehicles while operating a Volkswagen Transporter along the A64 Whitwell Hill in the High Hutton area of North Yorkshire on August 29, 2025.
The 40-year-old appeared for sentencing at Harrogate Justice Centre.
He admitted to traveling faster than permitted for his vehicle classification.
Lovatt, residing in Church Street, Kingham, Oxfordshire, received a financial penalty of £76 together with £120 in court charges.
His driving record was also marked with three penalty points.
The violation was documented as contrary to sections 86(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, alongside Schedule 2 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
