An elderly driver has received a fine and lost his driving privileges.
Martyn Pells, residing on Old London Road in Benson, admitted to operating a vehicle while above the legal alcohol limit.
The incident occurred on Old London Road in Benson on February 27.
A breath analysis revealed a reading of 45 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
He was ordered to pay £461 in fines plus £85 in court costs and a £184 victim surcharge.
Additionally, he received a 12-month prohibition from driving, which may be shortened to nine months provided he finishes an approved drink-drive rehabilitation program before November 22.
The court considered his guilty plea as a mitigating factor in determining the sentence.
He was directed to make payments as specified, with the complete sum due by May 22.
