A TV star has offered a glimpse into what Jeremy Clarkson is really like away from the cameras.

Harriet Cowan, who comes from Derbyshire, became part of the cast for the latest season, which launched on Prime Video during May and June 2024.

The 24-year-old took over from long-running fan favourite Kaleb Cooper during his tour commitments, helping Jeremy Clarkson at the agricultural business in Chadlington, Oxfordshire.

She left the programme partway through once her help was no longer needed, though audiences grew attached to her short stint.

Now Ms Cowan has revealed what it was like working with Mr Clarkson behind the scenes.

During an appearance on the Fed By Farmers podcast, she stated that the atmosphere was different away from filming, describing him as paternal during her time there and calling him wonderful.

She noted that he divides opinion, saying people either strongly dislike or strongly admire him, and suggested he simply ignores what others think, which she finds respectable.

Whether Ms Cowan will return to the show remains unclear, though she addressed the possibility during an interview on BBC Breakfast News last year.

She said the option has always been left flexible.

She mentioned she would be ready to help if needed, though nothing is arranged at present, and she would step in should he require assistance.

Clarkson’s Farm will return to Prime Video in June with its fifth series, which wrapped shooting in September 2025.
