Around 25,000 guests are forecast to descend on Jeremy Clarkson’s Oxfordshire holding in the Cotswolds over the summer period.
The farming showcase known as Cereals will be held in June at Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington, the property the 66-year-old broadcaster has possessed since 2008.
Clarkson voiced his excitement about expanding his agricultural understanding while joining Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland for an initial walk around the site.
At comments delivered during a press gathering alongside the Cereals Crop Plot Day in Oxfordshire, he admitted initially struggling to appreciate why the occasion carried such prestige when the idea was first outlined to him.
The agricultural fair is set to come back to the Cotswolds in 2026.
Clarkson remarked that he had been forthright in admitting he could not see what made the event distinguished.
He confessed he had questioned who would make the journey simply to study root systems.
Yet after personally observing the substantial preparations under way at Diddly Squat, he indicated his outlook had evolved.
He noted this was his first proper on-site inspection and that he found himself noticing the oilseed rape, beginning to grasp what drew people to it.
He expressed that he regarded this as an exceptional exhibition and was looking forward to its arrival.
Clarkson mentioned that Charlie had stressed this represents the premier farming occasion. He said he was genuinely pleased to be the host and the grounds looked excellent.
Clarkson pointed out that one of the main draws centres on ongoing learning, noting that every day brings fresh knowledge either from these people or through reading, and when Cereals arrives with 25,000 farming experts attending, he anticipated considerable educational benefit.
The event’s shift to the Cotswolds marks the most westerly location in almost five decades, tracing its roots back to Barby ’79 in Cirencester.

Representatives from bodies including NAAC, Farmers Weekly, the NFU, Young Farmers, and BASE receive automatic clearance upon supplying membership details.
To manage vehicle movement, traffic coordination measures have been arranged, with participants asked to select an arrival slot.
