The seasonal outdoor pool in Oxford will welcome swimmers again in May following adjustments to entry fees.

Hinksey Outdoor Pool located on Abingdon Road is set to resume operations on Saturday, May 16, with opening times in the evening.

The facility shut its doors in September 2025 for the cold months, and the scheduled reopening of the 35-meter heated pool experienced setbacks stemming from flood damage incurred during Oxfordshire’s most severe winter in 190 years.

Over £200,000 has been directed toward modernizing the plant room during the closure period, with additional improvements including a new sauna and café planned for implementation.

Pricing for adult, junior and concession tickets has risen by roughly 65p on average, representing a 6.6 percent increase.

Standard adult admission now stands at £6.40, up 40p from previous rates, while junior and concession pricing has reached £4.10, an increase of 25p.

Two-hour family swimming sessions are priced at £6.40 for youngsters and £8.50 for grown-ups. Full-day passes cost £9.55 for children and £12.75 for adults.

Annual passes, determined independently by More Leisure, are available at £210 for individuals and £420 for families comprising two adults and two children.

This represents a reduction of approximately £53, or 14 percent, with the season commencing one month behind schedule and concluding on Sunday, September 27.

Alternatively, season tickets are also offered at £245 for single adults and £490 for family units.

These annual passes grant unlimited access to booked swimming sessions throughout the six-month operational period.
