Rider seriously hurt in crash, airlifted to medical facility

Emergency services responded to reports of a serious crash involving two vehicles on Saturday afternoon in the Cotswolds area. The incident occurred on the A429 Fosseway near Stow-on-the-Wold at approximately 4:15pm.

Gloucestershire Constabulary has issued an appeal for witnesses in connection with the collision. A silver Triumph Trident motorcycle and a blue Volkswagen Polo were involved in the crash.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry for treatment. He continues to receive care at the hospital.

Multiple road closures were implemented in the area and remained in effect until reopening during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Investigating officers are requesting that anyone who saw the collision occur, or possesses relevant CCTV or dashcam recordings, contact them. Information can be provided through an online form using reference 314 of 25 April.
