A 63-year-old from Princes Risborough is scheduled to stand trial in 2028, four years after the alleged assault at a pub in Oxfordshire.

Sheffield David, residing on Summerleys Road in Princes Risborough, made an appearance at Oxford Crown Court on April 23.

The defendant faces three charges stemming from an alleged incident that occurred at The White Hart in Bicester on March 30, 2024.

The charges against David include intentionally causing grievous bodily harm, the lesser offense of causing grievous bodily harm without intent, and unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon specifically a knuckle duster.

The defendant entered pleas of not guilty to all charges. The court was informed that the alleged victim in the case is George Ridley.

David’s trial has been scheduled to commence on February 28, 2028.

He was released on conditional bail, which prohibits him from contacting the complainant or visiting The White Hart.
