Jeremy Clarkson has reached out to a pilot after a Supermarine Spitfire aircraft was spotted flying above his residence in the Cotswolds region of Oxfordshire.

The former presenter of Top Gear and The Grand Tour acquired a farming property spanning 1,000 acres near Chipping Norton in 2008 and has made it his primary residence.

He shares the property with his partner Lisa Hogan, and their efforts to manage the agricultural land have been chronicled in the popular Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm.

The program showcases daily operations at Diddly Squat Farm, including unsuccessful harvests, animal-related incidents, and the struggle to establish the now well-known farm shop that has transformed the location into a visitor attraction.

In 2024, Clarkson added to his Cotswolds business portfolio by acquiring a pub located near Burford, which launched as The Farmer’s Dog during the summer months.

The establishment, situated a brief drive from Diddly Squat, offers Hawkstone beer and cuisine prepared using ingredients from the farm, and has rapidly become a draw for tourists visiting the region.

This Friday afternoon, Clarkson took to Instagram to announce that a Supermarine Spitfire had been circling above his Cotswolds home.

The 65-year-old shared a visual representation of the aircraft’s flight route and commented: “You, my friend, are welcome to fly over my house any time you like.”

The post quickly gained traction, accumulating over 30,000 likes within just one hour. One follower humorously wrote: “But if it is James May, you will take him out!”

Another observer noted: “Jeremy got that private air show going on.”

A third individual stated: “This is the Grace Spitfire, which featured in Top Gear, when Clarkson, Hammond, and May arrived to defeat the German top gear presenters in style!”

Clarkson’s Farm season five is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video this summer, with the initial episodes set for release on Wednesday, April 24.
