An individual has received a suspended jail term and a restraining order following stalking behavior in an Oxfordshire village.

Jack Bowers appeared for sentencing on March 31 at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court after being convicted of stalking without causing fear, alarm, or distress on February 26.

The 36-year-old resident of Tyrells Way, Sutton Courtenay, had his 20-week prison sentence deferred for 18 months.

High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court was prepared to handle additional caseload.

A suspended sentence permits an offender to avoid immediate imprisonment provided they refrain from further violations during a set period.

Additionally, Mr Bowers was issued a 36-month restraining order targeting a woman and was mandated to pay £554 in court costs.

He must also engage in rehabilitation activities for up to 20 days, and he is barred from the Asquith Park estate in Sutton Courtenay while being subject to electronic monitoring.
