A vocal ensemble from Nottinghamshire treated shoppers to what organizers called an exceptional performance during a two-day visit to Oxford.
The Charlotte Mendly Voice Centre Choir performed on Saturday, April 18, entertaining audiences between 12:30 and 1:15 in the afternoon at the Westgate shopping complex.
Since its formation in 2012, the group has produced a charitable recording and secured first place in the choir category at the Selston Music Festival six years later.
A representative for the choir described the Oxford visit as remarkable, adding that the atmosphere was full of amusement.
Following their appearance at Westgate, the ensemble went on to perform at St Michael’s at the North Gate, where they were joined by a Ukrainian choir.
Bringing different musical traditions together proved to be an extraordinary occasion, according to the spokesperson.
The tour concluded the following day, Sunday, April 19, with a recital at Oxford Castle.
