A high-speed electric vehicle charging station is set to be built in Witney.

The equipment will be installed at Firehouse Oxford, a restaurant with rooms located close to the A40, through a partnership with EV charging company Believ.

Roughly 27,000 cars pass this spot each day, making it well-placed for both local drivers and those covering greater distances.

Craig Butler, property director at Believ, said the spot provides great exposure, positioned right on a main route and suited for fast charging stops.

With significant daily traffic numbers and excellent amenities already on site, Firehouse Oxford works perfectly as a charging location for motorists wanting swift and reliable energy replenishment.

The company’s comprehensive funding model enables businesses to offer essential electric vehicle infrastructure without hassle or cost, while allowing drivers to charge at places they already use.

This project grows their growing network of strategically-sited ultra-rapid charging points across Britain.

The installation will feature six charging units, including one with wheelchair accessibility, able to provide power reaching 240 kilowatts.

Believ is providing complete financial support, allowing Firehouse Oxford to add electric vehicle charging with no upfront spending or operational responsibilities.

Believ will manage everything, including planning, installation, and continued upkeep.
