Twenty-nine community projects throughout Oxfordshire received backing from GreenSquareAccord (GSA), a housing association active in the county. The group distributed in excess of £50,000 via its Community Impact Fund throughout the previous twelve months.

The programme offers assistance to customer collectives, charitable bodies, and volunteer organisations operating within GSA’s housing areas.

Sian Every, who oversees community investment and social value at GSA, explained that the Community Impact Fund continues to grow annually, permitting support for diverse community groups and increased grant amounts.

Because multiple suppliers boosted their contributions as part of their social value commitments, the highest award available per initiative rose from £1,000 to £2,000.

The GSA Customer Panel’s assessment of applications was appreciated, and gratitude was expressed to supply chain partners for their contributions to the fund.

Their support allows the organisation to strengthen combined outcomes.

During the 2025–26 financial year, GSA channelled £51,467 through the scheme—a figure exceeding double the £20,542 given out the previous year.

Initiatives receiving assistance included a £2,000 grant to Oxford Hospitals Charity for refurbishing the Jane Ashley Garden, together with £978 for Rose Hill Junior Youth Club and £1,000 for a community kitchen initiative supporting women on low incomes.

The fund prioritises schemes that help residents develop financial and employment capabilities, improve digital connectivity, and promote health and wellbeing.

Other programmes supported comprised exercise and balance classes for older people in Walsall, netball coaching for women in Melksham, and guided reading schemes across Oxfordshire.

GSA owns and operates more than 3,800 affordable housing units throughout Oxfordshire.
