A charity dinner has produced a substantial amount for organisations supporting severely unwell children.

Redrow South Midlands secured £24,000 for Helen & Douglas House during its annual benevolence occasion.

The event supported the hospice’s programmes, providing care for youngsters with terminal diagnoses and their loved ones across Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.

Olivia Crawford, corporate partnerships executive at Helen & Douglas House, said the organisation was tremendously grateful to Redrow South Midlands for hosting their fantastic charity ball in support of the hospice and raising an impressive £24,000. She noted that maintaining the specialised services provided requires £6 million each year. She explained that such support allows the charity to be there for families during their most difficult times. She expressed sincere thanks.

The evening brought together subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

Guests took part in a raffle, silent auctions, a participatory auction activity, entertainment, and a three-course meal.

Redrow South Midlands currently has building work in progress at Hampden Meadows in Watlington and Blaise Park in Abingdon.

Andrew Newman, sales director at Redrow South Midlands, said the company took considerable pride in gathering such a generous total for a cause that genuinely deserves backing. He noted it was an honour to help the hospice and ensure it can continue its vital work. He extended heartfelt appreciation to all companies and backers who donated prizes and made the evening memorable.
