Published on

A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital after a crash at a roundabout, with police appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

The incident happened at the junction of St John’s Street and Manorsfield Road in Bicester on Saturday, April 18, at around 8.50pm.

Police confirmed that two vehicles were involved: a grey Vauxhall Insignia and a red motorcycle.

In a statement issued on Sunday, officers said the rider, a man in his twenties, suffered severe arm injuries and remains in hospital receiving care.

No arrests have been made so far, but Thames Valley Police are asking potential witnesses to come forward.

PC Mark Jones, from the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, is leading the enquiry. He urged anyone who saw the crash, which left a man seriously hurt, to get in contact.

He also appealed to people in the area at the time who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from vehicles, nearby homes or businesses, as this could provide vital evidence about the collision or its circumstances.

Those with information can reach Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or reporting online, quoting reference 43260189198. Alternatively, anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
