A planning application has been filed to establish a new cafe in Oxford’s central district, taking over the location currently occupied by a tour guide business.

An application for a new premises licence has been lodged with Oxford City Council regarding the retail space situated at 15-16 Broad Street, located in the centre of Oxford.

The location presently serves as the base of operations for Footprints Tours, a well-regarded walking tour company that runs the facility as an information point for visitors.

The applicant named on the premises licence application is Footprints Tours, headquartered in Henley.

The proposal involves converting the Broad Street location into a cafe operation to be known as Roll and Bowl.

According to the premises licence documentation, trading hours would span 9am to 7pm on weekdays and Saturdays, with Sunday operating hours set from 10am to 6pm.

The application seeks authorisation for alcohol sales between 10am and 7pm throughout the week.

The licence application remains available for public comment on the Oxford City Council website, with the consultation period closing on May 13.
