Two distinct incidents of soil disposal have been documented in Oxfordshire.

The first occurrence was found along a footpath close to the B4000 in the Shrivenham area on Sunday, April 12.

Three days later, another accumulation was spotted nearby, leading the Vale of White Horse District Council to post a community request on the morning of Friday, April 17.

The council distributed photographs of both waste deposits and asked residents possessing any pertinent details to get in touch.

In another matter, Kidlington has seen the launch of an £8 million cleaning initiative, with up to 30 vehicles each day removing material from an unauthorised waste facility.

Approximately 21,000 tonnes of commercial and domestic refuse, including tyres, shredded plastic, and miscellaneous waste, commenced extraction on Tuesday, April 14.

Staff from Acumen Waste Services are carrying out the work at pace, shifting between 15 and 30 lorry loads each day to rectify the harm inflicted by organised criminal groups.

The clearing project is expected to run for approximately six months.

Those responsible disposed of waste across 8,000 square metres of land adjacent to the A34 in Kidlington—an area exceeding the dimensions of a football pitch at Wembley.

Personnel from the Environment Agency ceased activities at the location in October 2025, several months after the initial report submitted to Cherwell Council in June.
