Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a cyclist exposed himself to a young person and an adult female in Oxfordshire.

The incident happened at roughly 11:20 in the morning on Wednesday, April 15 on a footpath running alongside Longford Way in Didcot.

Investigators say a man cycling past a woman and her child dismounted and moved into nearby vegetation, where witnesses saw him performing a lewd act.

On the same date, at approximately 1:05 p.m., police received reports of a man on the off-road cycling route between Hagbourne and Upton.

He cycled past the reporting party before entering woodland, and when she passed by on foot, he showed himself to her.

The individual sought by authorities is described as a Black man aged in his twenties, with a slender frame and afro-style hair.

Officers say he was wearing dark jeans and a dark coloured top, and was riding a black bike.

Police are now calling for anyone who may have seen either incident of indecent exposure in Oxfordshire to come forward.

Detective PC Daniel Mellor, who is leading the investigation, appealed for witnesses to contact the force if they saw either event or have any information that could assist the inquiry.

He also asked local residents who were in the area using the lane or who have CCTV or doorbell footage to make contact.

Officers have already taken statements from several members of the public who responded at the time, but are hoping to hear from additional witnesses or those with further information.
