The renowned Status Quo drummer and his spouse were observed purchasing beverages at Jeremy Clarkson’s rural establishment in the Oxfordshire region.

John Coghlan, the celebrated percussionist from Status Quo, made a return visit to The Farmer’s Dog location in the vicinity of Burford.

Twelve months prior, the musical artist was seated with his wife and a companion at the establishment, formerly titled The Windmill.

Currently, one year later, Coghlan revisited the establishment, which Clarkson acquired for approximately one million pounds and welcomed its first patrons in August 2024.

The local resident shared an image of himself alongside his spouse Gillie in the outdoor terrace section at the rear of the pub, consuming Hawkstone Lager Zero.

The previously uncovered terrace has since been enclosed and now contains indoor-style furnishings, heating facilities, and an exterior bar service.

On the social platform Facebook, Coghlan commented: “Enjoying a 0 per cent at The Farmer’s Dog (Clarkson’s lovely pub).”

In his earlier post from the previous year, the rock musician mentioned his acquaintance with Clarkson and frequent patronage of the venue due to its proximity to his residence.

He stated: “Gillie and I had a jolly evening at The Farmer’s Dog, Jeremy Clarkson’s pub.”

The well-known whiskered musician was a founding member of the group and performed globally with the band’s legendary lineup during their 1970s peak, filling concert halls worldwide and dominating the music charts.

He contributed drumming duties to their signature tracks, such as Down Down, which achieved the top position in 1975, and Rockin’ All Over The World.

Clarkson’s Farm season five is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video next month, twelve months following the release of season four.

Eight fresh episodes will be available, continuing to provide audiences with perspectives on operations at Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington alongside the Cotswolds establishment.
