A kitchen installation company based in the UK has entered liquidation, leaving questions about what will happen to pending customer work.

Official receivers were tasked with closing down Sherwood Kitchens Limited, located in Witney, on March 31. The business had been operating for 24 years.

The company was established in 2002 by Steve and Bobby Pidsley, focusing on kitchen design, supply, and fitting services, including complete renovations as well as cabinet door replacements.

The business maintains a display centre on Witney’s High Street.

Mark David Charles Hopkins and Rachel Elizabeth Ennis, representing the business consultancy FTS Recovery in Lutterworth, have taken on the role of joint administrators.

According to its website, Sherwood Kitchens carries out installations throughout Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire among other counties.

Company members and creditors requested that the liquidators become involved with the business, according to notices published in the London Gazette.

This represents a creditors voluntary liquidation, a formal insolvency procedure where the directors of an unable-to-pay company voluntarily decide to shut down operations.

It remains unclear whether any customer orders have been left incomplete as a result of the liquidation.

Attempts were made to reach Sherwood Kitchens for a statement, but no reply was received.

The company generally receives favorable feedback on Google, with one client commenting: “Awesome work, great staff, great finish.”

However, the most recent review, posted three weeks prior, stated: “They take your money very quickly but are not there when something is not correct and blame the clients.
