A youth football team in Oxfordshire has been kitted out with fresh outerwear following backing from a regional housebuilding company.

Freeland Football Club’s junior boys team, which represents the local area, received the garments from the residential developer for use during training and matches.

The collaboration coincides with Blenheim Estate Homes’ plans to develop a new eco-friendly housing scheme in Freeland.

Karis McMahon-Lane, who works as marketing manager for both Pye Homes and Blenheim Estate Homes, explained that the company considers itself more than just a building firm, viewing its position as one of looking after the local community by supporting groups and individuals near Blenheim Palace.

She noted that it was gratifying to see the youthful players looking so smart in their new jackets, and with all the rainy conditions experienced recently, the team had certainly been getting good use out of them.

The clothing was engineered to keep the players comfortable during poor weather conditions.

The team is currently celebrating after earning a spot in a cup final during this season’s competition.
