Passengers have been alerted after all railway lines serving a central London station were rendered unusable.

The issue commenced in the early morning today (Wednesday, April 15), originating from problems at London Marylebone.

Chiltern Railways released a statement expressing regret that trackside equipment at London Marylebone had developed a fault, blocking all lines. The company noted that trains running through these areas could be terminated or face significant delays.

A follow-up message explained that technical faults on the route at London Marylebone meant every track remained closed. The company apologized for any inconvenience caused to commuters and advised that passengers whose journeys had been lengthened by fifteen minutes or more might be eligible for compensation. The company stated that further information would be provided when available.

This has affected routes travelling to and from Banbury, Oxford, Reading and London Paddington stations, along with additional destinations.
