An independent coffee roaster based in Oxfordshire has hailed its first day trading at a newly opened cafe in Cowley as a great success, with the business receiving its initial customers.

Missing Bean, which manages several outlets across Oxfordshire, has now inaugurated its newest site at the Trinity Building situated within Oxford Business Park in Cowley.

The enterprise operates numerous successful coffee shops throughout the county, including branches on Turl Street in Oxford, in Abingdon, and most recently in Charlbury.

The Cowley establishment celebrated its official opening on Tuesday, April 14, with the latest addition to the independent chain attracting substantial numbers during its first day of trading.

The cafe’s manager in Cowley, Taylor Powell, expressed enthusiasm about the response, noting that the support and positive feedback from visitors had been remarkable, encompassing both new patrons and returning regulars. According to Powell, if the opening day was indicative of future trade, then the Cowley branch should thrive, and the team eagerly anticipates what lies ahead. Powell also thanked everyone who attended, expressing hope that customers had enjoyed their coffee and bakery offerings and looked forward to greeting them repeatedly.

The new coffee venue will trade between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday at the business park.

Positioned on the ground floor of the recently built Trinity Building, the versatile premises function as a hub for laboratory facilities within the park located off John Smith Drive in Cowley. The coffee shop intends to serve office workers, individuals on their lunch break, and those looking for a drink while going about their workday.
