The former Spice Girl is reportedly mourning the loss of her former way of life as pressure grows for her husband to make a comeback in motorsport, according to a national newspaper.

The 51-year-old makes her home in the Oxfordshire countryside near Banbury with ex-Red Bull racing team boss Christian Horner.

Mr. Horner headed Red Bull from 2005, securing eight drivers’ championships and six constructors’ trophies during his time there.

However, his position ended abruptly last season when the team removed him mid-campaign over performance issues.

Prior to this, Mr. Horner had also faced accusations of inappropriate conduct, which were later dropped.

A new Daily Mail investigation reports that Geri Halliwell now longs for her previous existence as a Formula 1 partner.

The newspaper says she is grieving her past existence after viewing herself as the leading partner within the racing community and struggling to adapt to life beyond the sport.

A source told the publication that both are struggling without Formula 1, that Geri wants a husband in the spotlight, and that she regarded herself as the leading lady of the sport. The source added that she loved that world and thrives on attention, and that she has made clear to Christian that she wants him back in Formula 1 as soon as possible. The source noted there has been significant strain and problems between them.

A local living close to the couple’s substantial £9.5 million countryside home in the Oxfordshire village of Marston St Lawrence observed that despite the area’s charm, it can be dull. The unnamed resident explained that Geri missed the thrill of Formula 1 and that one cannot blame her for that. The resident noted she is used to flying around the world privately and attending glamorous occasions, so it is understandable to miss that. The resident added that they do not think readjusting has been easy for either of them.

The resident described them as a nice couple who are very friendly, though it is well known they have faced many difficulties.
