A resident of an Oxfordshire village has received a driving prohibition exceeding three years after testing positive for drugs at nearly four times the permitted level.

Samuel Wall, residing in Green Lane, Swalcliffe, close to Banbury, was apprehended on Main Street in Tadmarton on August 23 of the previous year, according to proceedings at the court.

The 34-year-old admitted to three offenses: operating a vehicle while disqualified, driving under the influence of drugs, and operating a Seat Tarraco without third-party insurance.

Court documentation reveals Wall’s blood contained 193 microgrammes of cocaine metabolite per litre, which represents nearly quadruple the legal threshold.

The defendant was directed to refrain from consuming alcohol for a period of 120 days and must adhere to the requirements set by the supervising officer to attend appointments for up to 26 days.

In addition to the 42-month driving disqualification, Wall was mandated to pay £85 in court costs.
