A swimming instruction initiative is marking its 15th anniversary of teaching water safety.

Puddle Ducks Oxfordshire, which offers classes for babies and children, marked the milestone with an event in Uffington that welcomed over 300 families from the local community.

Beccy Stenson, owner of Puddle Ducks Oxfordshire, said the milestone was remarkable for the whole team. Families place great trust in their services, and seeing so many attend the celebration demonstrated the impact their sessions have on young people throughout the region.

The event featured various entertainment including a bouncy castle, soft play area, arts and crafts, face painting, cake decoration, and an appearance from the programme’s mascot, Puddle the Duck.

Ms Stenson added that the team feels tremendous pride in every pupil who has developed swimming skills with them, from babies taking their first splash to children perfecting confident stroke techniques. The team works hard to maintain a safe and nurturing environment and looks forward to supporting more families in the future.

Puddle Ducks currently teaches 1,261 children every week across 15 swimming venues.

The programme concentrates on building water familiarity, developing swimming proficiency, and providing an encouraging setting for participants from newborn through to ten years old.

Over the past 15 years, the team has helped thousands of young people gain water confidence, learn fundamental swimming strokes, and acquire essential water safety skills from a young age.
