A motorist has been discovered to be well over the legal alcohol limit while operating a vehicle on the festive holiday.

The individual residing at Ayres Drive in Bloxham, which is located in the vicinity of Banbury, was detected on December 25 of the previous year along Barford Road in Bloxham.

The 36-year-old driver admitted to a single charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol while operating a Vauxhall Safira during her appearance at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.

A breath analysis test was administered, showing 120 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. This figure surpasses the legal threshold of 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath by more than three times.

The defendant was required to pay legal costs amounting to £85 along with a victim surcharge of £114.

She was additionally directed to refrain from consuming alcohol for a period of 90 days and must adhere to the requirements set by the supervising officer to attend appointments for up to six days.

The driver also received a road traffic prohibition of 30 months, though this period may be shortened by 30 weeks provided she completes a designated course by November 5 of the following year.
