A shopper at The Range deposited human waste on a shop display before leaving the premises.
Officers are investigating this appalling act of criminal damage at the discount store in Banbury.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:40pm on Wednesday, March 25, with the customer seen departing the shop shortly after authorities classified the behaviour as criminal damage.
The case is being overseen by PC Robert Watson of Thames Valley Police, who is appealing for members of the public who may have witnessed the event to come forward.
Thames Valley Police has released an image of a woman that officers wish to speak to as part of their enquiries.
PC Watson explained that they are working to establish the identity of the individual shown in the CCTV footage, as they believe she may have information that could help with their investigation.
