The caffeine retailer aims to open over 500 fresh outlets throughout the United Kingdom during the next five years, marking an ambitious growth push.
Duncan Moir, President of Starbucks’ European division, explained that the company continued its positive momentum in the UK market, having introduced 92 stores during the previous twelve months.
The plan involves launching 75 additional branches in the coming year, with a target of establishing 500 more across the next half-decade. This demonstrates the organisation’s confidence in the British commercial landscape.
The enterprise has simultaneously pursued development beyond UK borders, having unveiled 299 new sites globally during the same period.
The United Kingdom remains Starbucks’ largest European territory. Despite rising costs and fierce competition, the corporation generated UK revenues of £556.3 million in the latest financial year. Customer visits edged slightly higher, while average spend per patron reached £6.45.
Digital ordering platforms and loyalty programmes are proving increasingly popular.
Transactions made via smartphones jumped 28 percent, and the Starbucks Rewards initiative now accounts for 42 percent of UK sales, with membership at 2.4 million consistent users.
By the end of the previous year, the company had established 1,304 branches throughout Britain.
The brand is also seeing strong performance in its product range. Sales of cold drinks rose 11.8 percent, while beverages containing Matcha skyrocketed 68 percent over the past year.
