Officers have confirmed that a male committed an act of indecent exposure toward a female in the vicinity of a bookshop in Oxford.

The incident occurred at around 10:15pm on Saturday (March 28) while a woman aged between 30 and 39 was walking along St Aldates.

According to authorities, a man was later seen exposing himself to the victim near St Philips Book Store.

The offender is described as a male in his fifties with hair extending to his shoulders, wearing blue jeans.

Thames Valley Police are now asking members of the public who may have seen the incident to come forward.

An appeal was issued on Thursday afternoon (April 2) requesting that anyone with relevant information get in touch with detectives to assist with their enquiries.

The officer leading the investigation, PC Henry Brown, stated that he is appealing to anyone who witnessed this event or possesses information that could advance their investigation to contact Thames Valley Police. He is also reaching out to other people who were in the vicinity, walking along this road, or anyone nearby who may have footage from CCTV or doorbell cameras.
