Oxford Magistrates’ Court proceedings from the past week:

GODWIN BENEDICT, aged 37, residing in Woodpecker Way, Witney, admitted to traveling at 38mph in a 30mph zone on the A4095 Grove Road in Bladon on April 29 the previous year. The court imposed financial penalties including £120 in costs, a £40 victim surcharge, and a £100 fine. Additionally, a 14-day driving prohibition was issued.

DANIEL JONES, aged 43, from Crowsley Road in Shiplake near Henley-On-Thames, confessed to operating a vehicle on George Street in Caversham, Reading without third party insurance coverage on April 30 the previous year. He was required to pay £120 in costs, a £264 victim surcharge, and a £660 fine. Six penalty points were also applied to his license.

AARON GUILDFORD, aged 42, living at Chilton Field Way in Chilton, Didcot, pleaded guilty to drug driving in a silver Renault Trafic on Waldeck Road in Maidenhead on August 27 the previous year. The court ordered payment of £1,000 in costs, a £65 victim surcharge, and a £162 fine. A 12-month road ban was imposed.

DALE STEWART, aged 41, from Turberville Close in Abingdon, admitted to using a mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle on Stanford Road in Faringdon on April 20 the previous year. Financial penalties included £120 costs, £40 victim surcharge, and £100 fine. Six penalty points were also recorded.

VALLE ALESSIO DELLA, aged 27, of Barkston Gardens in London, pleaded guilty to exceeding the 70mph speed limit on the M40 motorway near Oxford on June 8 the previous year. The specific speed was not disclosed. Della was ordered to pay £120 costs, £160 victim surcharge, and £400 fine. Five penalty points were added to their record.

ANISSA MARTINS, aged 50, from Crescent Road in Oxford, admitted to traveling at 99mph in a 70mph zone on the M40 near Bicester on September 6 the previous year. She was required to pay £120 costs, £166 victim surcharge, and £415 fine. Six penalty points were also imposed.

DWAYNE MCINTOSH, aged 41, residing at Patrick Haugh Road in Arncott, Bicester, pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth £67.45 from a retail establishment in Wokingham on November 8 the previous year. Compensation of £67.45 was ordered.

IONUT AZIZ SERHAT YILDIRIM, aged 30, from Japonica Close in Bicester, admitted to maintaining an uninsured motor vehicle on August 6 the previous year. The court imposed £200 costs, £88 victim surcharge, and £220 fine.

DAVID PAINTIN, aged 45, of St Clement’s Street in Oxford, was convicted of six counts of shoplifting in Oxford occurring between January and August the previous year, with stolen goods totaling £1,293.50. He also admitted to four counts of theft from vehicles in Oxford between June 2024 and February this year, with items valued at £420. Additionally, he pleaded guilty to six counts of theft by finding in Oxford between May the previous year and January this year, involving property worth £635.47. Further admissions included three counts of fraud by false representation in Oxford in December 2024 and one count of vehicle interference in Oxford on September 11 the previous year. A custodial sentence of 26 weeks was imposed.
