King Charles and Camilla get Cotswolds wedding invite

The monarch and his spouse have received an invitation to attend a royal nuptial ceremony scheduled for this summer in the Cotswolds region.

Peter Phillips, son of the Princess Royal, will wed his partner Harriet Sperling during a summer celebration in the Cotswolds, according to an official announcement.

The NHS nurse will become Mrs. Phillips at a private ceremony conducted at All Saints Church located in the village of Kemble, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, set for Saturday, June 6.

A representative for Mr. Phillips has confirmed that both the King and Queen, alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales, have been made aware of the couple’s announcement.

The modest ceremony is expected to draw members of the royal family to the village for the occasion.

The families of both the bride and groom have received formal invitations notifying them of the wedding date, the spokesperson stated.

At 48 years old, Mr. Phillips holds the position of the King’s nephew, cousin to William and the Duke of Sussex, brother to Zara Tindall, and son to Princess Anne and her former husband, Captain Mark Phillips.

All Saints Church, featuring an imposing spire, stands centrally within Kemble, with local congregation members actively engaged in community activities, according to descriptions.

Mr. Phillips resides on his mother’s Gatcombe Park estate in Minchinhampton, situated nearby.

Following a separation in 2020 after a dozen years of marriage to his first wife Autumn, the father maintains shared parenting arrangements for their two daughters, 15-year-old Savannah and Isla, who is 14.

Their initial marriage ceremony took place in 2008 at St George’s Chapel within Windsor Castle, a more elaborate royal affair.

Mr. Phillips announced his engagement to Ms. Sperling, whom he started dating in 2024, during August of last year.

The couple attended Royal Ascot in June as guests of King Charles and Queen Camilla, with the royal family extending them an invitation to participate in the traditional carriage procession onto the renowned Berkshire racecourse that marks the event’s commencement.
