Drivers have been alerted to closures affecting two major routes this evening.

The A34 dual carriageway will be blocked throughout the night in the southbound direction, spanning from the Hinksey Hill Interchange towards Oxford to the Marcham Road Interchange heading toward Abingdon.

Highways England is implementing these restrictions to perform scheduled work, with the closure scheduled from 9pm until 6am the next day.

Additionally, the M40 motorway will be closed in the southbound carriageway between junction 12 and junction 11 near Banbury.

Both lane restrictions and slip road closures will be in effect during the maintenance operations.

Those traveling are advised to follow the alternative path through the National Highways road network.
