Families will have access to complimentary and affordable activities during the Easter vacation period.
South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse are organizing an extensive program of events, scheduled from March 30 through April 11, providing options for every age group throughout both districts.
The holiday festivities kick off with a morning activity session in Cholsey and an afternoon program at The Junction in Abingdon.
Additional offerings feature Born to Move enjoyable fitness sessions in Wallingford, a football event in Faringdon, and an Easter-themed Xplorer challenge in Botley.
During the following week, participants can look forward to an Xplorer session and Mini Fun Day in Didcot, alongside a complimentary Fun Day at Thame Leisure Centre.
The schedule wraps up with an open house at The Junction in Abingdon, showcasing crafts, soft play areas, and New Age Kurling.
Cllr Helen Pighills, cabinet member for community health and wellbeing at Vale of White Horse District Council, stated: “This Easter we have plenty for kids and families to enjoy with activities for everyone.
“Whether it’s getting creative with workshops and family theatre at The Beacon, enjoying the fresh air with outdoor challenges, or coming along to a free family fun day – and with everything free or low-cost, they’re a brilliant way to make the most of the school holidays.”
The Beacon in Wantage will also present various programs during the break, including laid-back movie mornings, creative workshops, and an interactive theatre experience for youngsters between two and six years old.
At Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot, families can participate in complimentary Easter-themed activities such as egg decorating, appropriate for children of all ages when supervised by an adult.
Leisure facilities throughout the districts are participating as well, with special £1 Kids Swim sessions available at Better Leisure Centres.
Family fun swims, swimming lesson programs and junior gym sessions are also available, along with drop-in badminton, tennis, pickleball, bouncy castle sessions and additional activities.
Cllr Georgina Heritage, cabinet member for communities at South Oxfordshire District Council, commented: “Our Active Communities team and the team at Cornerstone have lined up another fantastic range of activities for young people this Easter.
