A family-friendly Easter event is returning to Oxford this spring, giving children an engaging way to discover the city.

City Sightseeing Oxford has relaunched its Bunny Hop Trail for the holiday season, running from March 28 until April 12, during which children can hunt for hidden rabbits across the city.

Kamini Patel, who oversees retail and tourism activities for City Sightseeing Oxford, said they are looking forward to bringing the Bunny Hop Trail back to Oxford from March 28. She noted the trail was extremely well-received last year and they are delighted to offer this family activity in the city again, expecting it to be an excellent two weeks where participants find rabbits at various participating attractions throughout Oxford.

The experience invites children to ride a City Sightseeing Oxford bus tour and find six rabbits placed throughout the city. These rabbits can be discovered at three notable Oxford locations: the Ashmolean Museum, The Story Museum, and Modern Art Oxford.

Once participants have collected all six stamps on their Bunny Hop Trail card, they can pick up a special Easter prize from either City Sightseeing Oxford’s information centre on the High Street or the travel shop at Gloucester Green. Those who complete the trail can also enjoy a 10% discount at The Story Museum café by showing a valid trail card or map.

Conrad Bodman, chief executive of The Story Museum, said they are delighted to be part of this year’s trail and look forward to welcoming visitors to Oxford at their museum. He expressed that partnering again with City Sightseeing brings them great pleasure, and they hope those taking part enjoy their Easter offerings.

Ania Bas, families creative producer at the Ashmolean, said the museum is also preparing a holiday-themed programme. She mentioned the Ashmolean looks forward to receiving families over the Easter period and is happy to include the Bunny Hop Trail in their activity schedule. In addition to getting the stamp, the Ashmolean is also inviting visitors to take part in a free Bunny Hunt throughout the museum to find rabbits and hares featured in their diverse collection.

Paul Hobson, director of Modern Art Oxford, also welcomed the trail’s return. Mr Hobson said they are happy to be working with the Oxford Bus Company again on this charming seasonal activity. He added they look forward to welcoming families to Modern Art Oxford as part of the trail and wished everyone the best of luck.
