A statement has been issued by police following a welfare concern in an Oxfordshire village.

Thames Valley Police has stated that officers responded to the Eynsham Roundabout on Monday, March 23, in the evening hours, and confirmed that no injuries were reported.

Traffic was backed up near the village’s roundabout where Lower Road, the B4449 and the A40 meet, with reports coming in just after 9pm.

Social media reports indicated that motorists were directed to use other roads as police cars responded to the situation.

The police force has now acknowledged its attendance and confirmed the matter involved a welfare concern that was resolved without incident.

A spokesperson stated that additional information would not be released.
