The Charlbury Beer Festival is poised to celebrate a major achievement as it prepares to serve its 100,000th pint since the event’s launch.

The yearly gathering will occur at Charlbury Cricket Club starting at noon on Saturday, June 27.

This year’s event carries special significance, with organizers anticipating the milestone of pouring the 100,000th pint since the festival was first held in 1998.

Since its beginning, the festival has contributed approximately £340,000 to various community initiatives and is forecast to attract hundreds of attendees.

These beneficiaries encompass several charitable causes, among them the Community Workshop, the Refugee Action Group, WRFM Radio, the Youth Club, and the Thomas Gifford Trust.

Patrons will find roughly 60 traditional ales on offer alongside more than 20 craft beers, plus a selection of ciders and perries, wine, gin, and Pimm’s.

Visitors can look forward to live musical performances, a Culture Tent showcasing various acts and presentations, and entertainment tailored for younger attendees.

One particular highlight will be the 14th World Aunt Sally Singles Championships.

Charlbury Cricket Club sits directly opposite the train station.

Those on the organizing committee also thanked the sponsors who made the beer and entertainment tents possible, as well as recognizing the countless hours contributed by committee members and other volunteers over the years.
