Road maintenance is scheduled to affect the M40 and A34 routes through the upcoming weekend, with closures in place from Friday, March 27 through Monday, March 30.
The roadworks may cause delays for those driving to or from Oxford.

Benson Parish Council has announced a road closure affecting drivers in the coming weeks – Benson Hale Road at the intersection of Sands Way and Sunnyside.
Sewer construction began on March 9 and is expected to last approximately two months.

Oxfordshire M40 and A34 closures for Friday, March 27
M40
Maintenance work on the M40 Southbound between Junction 13 and Junction 12 will involve lane closures, slip road closures and a diversion route.
This includes a carriageway closure between Junction 12 and Junction 11 and an entry slip road closure at Junction 12 (both Southbound), operating from 10.15pm on Friday until 6am Saturday.
On the M40 Southbound between Junction 6 and Junction 4, maintenance will require lane closures, an entry slip road closure and a diversion route.
The M40 Northbound between Junction 4 and Junction 6 will also have lane closures, an exit slip road closure and a diversion route in place.
Both of these operate from 10.15pm until 6am the following day.
From 9pm until 6am, lane closures, a slip road closure and a diversion route will be in effect for maintenance work on the M40 Northbound between Junction 10 and Junction 12.
On the M40 Southbound at Junction 9, drivers will encounter lane closures, a carriageway closure between slip roads and a diversion route for maintenance from 10.15pm until 6am Saturday.

No closures are scheduled on the A34 for this day.
Oxfordshire M40 and A34 closures for Saturday, March 28
M40
Maintenance work on the M40 Southbound between Junction 12 and Junction 10 will involve lane closures, an entry slip road closure and a diversion route from 10.15pm until 6am.
On the M40 Northbound between Junction 5 and Junction 7, there will be lane closures, slip road closures and a diversion route while maintenance work takes place.
This will occur from 10.15pm until 6am and includes Junction 6 exit and entry slip road closures.
A34
No closures are scheduled on the A34 for this day.
Oxfordshire M40 and A34 closures for Sunday, March 29
M40
On the M40 Southbound at Junction 10, an entry slip road closure for maintenance works will be in place from 10.15pm until 5.30am Monday.
Also on the M40 Southbound between Junction 12 and Junction 10, lane closures, an entry slip road closure and a diversion route will be in effect for maintenance from 10.15pm until 6am Monday.
A34
No closures are scheduled on the A34 for this day.
Oxfordshire M40 and A34 closures for Monday, March 30
M40
On the M40 Southbound between Junction 6 and Junction 4, lane closures, an entry slip road closure and a diversion route will be in place for maintenance work from 10.15pm until 6am.
Similarly, maintenance work will occur on the M40 Northbound between Junction 4 and Junction 6, with lane closures, an exit slip road closure and a diversion route at the same time.
On the M40 Northbound between Junction 10 and Junction 12, there will be lane closures, a slip road closure and a diversion route from 9pm until 6am for maintenance works.
A34
On Monday, a carriageway closure on the A34 Southbound between Hinksey Hill and Marcham will be in place to allow horticulture work to proceed.
The closure will operate from 9pm until 6am Tuesday.
On the A34 in both directions between Hinksey and Marcham, drivers can expect slip road and lane closures for developer works during the same time period.
