A managing director at a care home company has been honoured for achieving two decades of employment.
Alison Donaldson, who heads Barchester Healthcare’s North West and Midlands operations, received recognition for 20 years of commitment at a champagne celebration held at Southerndown Care Home in Chipping Norton.
The occasion featured a long service award and a cake, which were handed over by Barchester’s chief operating officer, Natasha Lazovic.
Ms Donaldson commenced her career with Barchester in January 2006 as the general manager of Newlands Care Centre in Cumbria.
She subsequently took charge of Lanercost Care Home in Carlisle and progressively advanced through the organisation to attain the position of managing director.
She now manages 68 care homes throughout the North West and Midlands regions.
Ms Donaldson commented that she finds it remarkable to have spent two decades with Barchester, noting that the time has passed quickly. She attributed her lengthy tenure to the company’s culture, the valuable guidance and expertise of colleagues, and the commitment to prioritising residents. She stated that the organisation consistently delivers excellent care to residents and provides comprehensive training to employees.
Barchester’s chief operating officer, Natasha Lazovic, expressed admiration for Ms Donaldson’s accomplishments and dedication, highlighting her continuous efforts to enhance her care homes and maintain high standards of care for residents.
