A Hyundai has been taken by officers in Oxfordshire after the driver was found to have a history of driving prohibitions.

The car was discovered in Banbury on Thursday, March 19, by members of Thames Valley Police.

Upon observing the vehicle, officers determined that the individual behind the wheel had previously been prohibited from driving and had only just obtained a provisional licence.

The motorist was subsequently reported, and the Hyundai was confiscated by police.

According to a post on TVP Cherwell’s social media account, Officers Gurney and Speke identified the car on Banbury roads.

The individual driving was confirmed as someone who did not possess a valid driving licence.

Investigation revealed the driver had only recently regained their provisional licence following a previous disqualification.

The person was reported for the violation and the car was taken into custody.
