A vehicle has been taken in an Oxfordshire community following a motoring violation.

Officers from Thames Valley Police confirmed they impounded a Mercedes C220d model during the evening of Friday 20 March because the operator lacked valid insurance cover.

The incident occurred in the settlement of Nuneham Courtenay, located to the south of Oxford.

A representative from the Rural Crime Taskforce stated that PCs Dollery and Woolley are presently confiscating the automobile under Section 165A of the Road Traffic Act in Nuneham Courtenay owing to the absence of insurance documentation.

The Taskforce is conducting patrols throughout the region this evening, and members of the public are encouraged to notify authorities of any unusual behaviour by calling 101 or 999 for urgent situations.

The latest iterations of the Mercedes C220d carry price tags reaching approximately £40,000, with the model historically equipped with diesel-powered engines.
